Patrick.

Hey Patrick look in the area below windshield as you turn them on and watch and make sure arm's are moving ? on the inside area by arm's I believe there is a plastic bushing

Wiper arms...

No wiper arm movement. How do I get in there? Have you done this before? Thanks for the reply...

Patrick:D

It's pretty simple raise the hood and look for the row of crosspoint screw's along the top by firewall n wiper motor once you remove the screw's remove the wiper arm's and the cowl piece should slide out then you will have access to the wiper arm area I will also pm you

I had to fix mine a few months ago. The plastic pieces broke and I had to use cotter pins and washers to hold the metal arms on the pins. It was a pain in the neck to get to them but finally got them on. PM me if you have any questions.

Dan

I just did mine about a month ago. All the plastic bushings broke at the same time. Got mine at NAPA. To make it easier I removed the wiper shafts (3 bolts each) and assembled it on my driveway (took maybe 10 minutes) then re-installed. I tried years ago to do it in the truck but it was a royal pain.

My '89 has two screws under the windshield gasket at the corners of the cowl cover. You'll see the slots if you can pull the cover off. Put a little grease on them when you tighten them back up. If they stay loose, they can squeak and make you think your cab cowl is cracked. The warning sign for me that this bushing was toast was that my wipers weren't parking consistently and they had lots of slop. With them off and parked, I could lift an arm away from the glas and move it up and down 5 to 6 inches. It's much tighter now.
