37 Dodge ton and a half Flat bed

Have a complete wrecked 92 dodge 4x4 and my ford f250 w/1ton suspension. Currently trying to find out if I can replace the 92 np205? transfer case with a np241hd from a 94 or newer dodge, without much complication. I had read here somewhere before that the opposite was done by just removing a seal(if I remember correctly). Basically, I'm looking

for options to move the front driveshaft to the other side, hopefully without spending too much money like buying a newer transmission. AND if it can be done, is anybody looking to trade/swap the np241hd for a np205. Any and all advice appreciated. :)

I'm game

I have a rolled 97 auto; I'll swap my 241 for your 205 if it's interchangeable. Let me know if it will work.

Thanks

Why dont you just keep the 205?

I am finishing up a '78 F250 Crewcab 4X4 with a first generation.

All I had to do was go to Advanced Adaptors and purchase their adaptors to go from an NV4500 to my NP 205.

Worked out quite well...

I think they have conversions for the cummins and Ford trannys.

Keep the NP 205! ... it is probably the BEST transfer case you will ever own! It is virtually indestructable! It is all steel... no aluminum.

Let me know if you have any other questions...

Small problem!

rbertalan,

I agree the 205’s are much stronger than the 241, but his 205 has the front output on the passengers side. The Ford requires the output to be on the driver’s side. BIG PROBLEM!
