Help with Auto Trans problem

TC goes in and out of lockup in 3rd and 4th. Did a search and found post refering to TPS. Have DTT TC and VB and will call Bill

in the morning. Trans has worked great since install in January and still feels fine except for this problem, which just showed up yesterday. Will a bad TPS cause this?

I have a similar problem. There is a TSB for it, suposedly check this link.

Also unplug and replug the EZ map sensor connectors.

mine just started doing the same thing. it will not stay locked up on the highway, but i just figured the EZ had taken it's toll. is it possible i wore out whatever locks up the torque convertor?

Get the reflash

Mine did same thing. Torque converter kicking in/out. Electrical noise causes the APPS/TPS to act goofy. Some people have cleaned the contacts and applied Dielectric grease to fix, some it didn't work. I cleaned mine with no avail. Got reflash, TSB 18-02-99. It fixed it. It'll change your shifts points too. Makes it real pleaserable to drive, Keeps the RPM's up more while it shifts. Accelerates much better cause it winds out more... Was very sceptacle to get the reflash, very satisfied afterwards. Need to fix as soon as possible. It'll toast your TC!

FIXED

Started with a call to Bill K. , Checked voltage from APPS, it was low(4volts), removed and adjusted to 5. 7volts. Then took it to Tom Matson Dodge in Auburn for TSB 18-02-99. Fixed problem.

No charge for TSB, they did it under emissions warranty.

I have 75K on truck.
