Hello to all and hope you all can help. Whats your opinion of this vehicle and the cost. 06 quad cab dually long bed 2x4 slt package 410 gears class 4 hitch trailer tow package anti-spin pw pdl cruise am-fm single disc remote entry heated mirrors. $27000. 000 before tax and license.

Thanks

Go to http://www.kbb.com/ and build the truck with these options and see for yourself. It will tell you actual dealer cost but does not show hold back amounts. I paid 1% under dealer invoice for the one I ordered. If they are trying to clear their lot should be able to do better then that.

I don't know what the MSRP or Invoice is, but I can tell you this from experience purchasing my 06. The dealers in my area are desperate to sell trucks.

I was able to get invoice - rebates ($1500 Dodge, $1500 Chrysler Financial, $300 commercial) - another 2k.

The Chrysler Financial rates suck, but you can refi in 90 days with Credit Union/Bank at lower rates.

This was on a Megacab... the "hottest" truck on the market.

Find out what invoice is and offer them 5k less. It is end of month/end of year. This is a great time to buy in my opinion.

I agree with DJennings.

I purchased mine the last day of the year. Looked at it the day before. They phoned me with an excellent offer, in my opinion, & I bought it.

Seems to be something magical about the last day of the month and/or year.

Good Luck.

I bought my 2004 in Feb of 05 and paid 28000... . 27K for a 2006 sounds really good to be based on what I paid.

My only concern would be the 4x2 dually idea... I have been told by several folks that the dually is terrible in snow and rain... one camper guy I met had his 4x2 dually two weeks and traded it for a 4x4... sure took a bath in terms of $$$... .

Good luck...

I just got a a 2006 SLT + Big horn pkg, 6 speed manual, 4x4, DRW, blue but that doesn't matter much... Anyways there is no way I could live with a 4X2, with trailer, fully loaded I tip the scales at 23,800 LBS. I do about 99. 90 % of the time on asphalt so that leaves me about 2 miles so far in the dirt ... . If I didn't' have 4X4 Im sure I would have been stuck a few times, yes I could have probably dropped the trailer and driven out thoses times but instead I pulled the lever and was able to move. In my situations I didn't sink, it was just the lack of traction and trying to pull a 13K lbs trailer. Even for the guy who hauls on the interstate 24/7 I would think that 4X4 would come in handy in the snow, and the customers site once in a while.
