I need a little help in deciding which south bend clutch to get. I have the ETH/DEE. Mods are only a PE Edge and BD II's. I think this is about 320 HP. I plan on buying a travel trailer later this year and occassionally have to 'smoke' an occassional terd and maxypad.

At that level I would go with the Con-OFE, thats what I have and really like it. Pedal pressure is less than stock and it doesn't slip, when i tow. It's also not very jerky at all like some of the more agressive clutches.

CON OFE

Peter with http://www.southbendclutch.com is the man to talk to . he recommended for me the CON OFE and I am very pleased , I cannot make it slip no way. I have similar bombs as you and the peddle is A # 1 no jerking at all, I like it much better than the OEM... ... ... ... ... ... ... . Kevin

Peter is the man and the Con OFE is the clutch! I have the 13" upgrade in mine and it has performed great. I pushed our 9k 5er in a camp slot a couple of weeks ago with less clutch effort than I ever had before.....

Talk to Peter about the new Con O 13" clutch, as soon as we figure how much it will hold for sure, I think this is going to be the best towing clutch out there. Peter is hoping for 350 HP he might already know by now. You never know I just might just end up with one for myself, for testing only you know. ;)

Get the FE!!!! suck it up for the little bit of time you spend towing.

the FE will tow fine ONLY IF the flywheel is surfaced properly. 4th and 5th gear rubber is definitely worth it!!!;):D:D

Seriously, with a little practice the FE drives near stock. it just doesn't slip much.

I am also in the market for a new clutch, 180K on stock, I called SB and he said get the mu 0090. But both the Con O and FE have that same #. SO now my question is what is the difference in price. I dynoed at 332 and 793 with no problems so far, and towing a 5ver. I am planning on going to about 400 hp, 370, #11 forward and 16cm housing. Plus other goodies. Trucks a 96 and used to play now that I bought if off my dad, love to beat imports with all their slow NOS and turbos. But I am a conservative driver. Thanks
