Help with codes ??

Greetings folks, today I noticed the check engine light was on. Everything is running great. Codes were:



0480

0514



I understand that these are for fan circuit and battery temp sensor.



Any ideas what the problem is ? I do runn a cool down timer, bub didn't use it today...



Also, how do I re-set ?

Erase or disconnect batteries for 5 Minutes.

I had to put a jumper in my fuse box to get rid of the fan code. The ECM was calling for the fan to engage but it didn't have power so it throws a code. Not sur eon the other one. Are you using Howard's Cool-Down Timer?

Was thinking of doing the battery disconnect reset procedure, but the engine light is out today ? I do have howards cool down timer, and have been using it for almost 2 years with no trouble. I did drive through some real bad Tstorms the other day, and as a result hit some narly puddles at speed. Maybe something got wet ?

Do you have the fan jumper installed in the fuse box? If not you may have had the fan code for a long time as it does not throw a check engine light. Then maybe the puddle tripped something.
