As you all know I'm mildly retarded(just ask my wife ,she will tell you,she tells me that every day)

Anyway, just picked up a used D box that came with no documentation or instructions,I did a search on the subject but...

does anyone have pics of where to plug it in a 01. 5???

what do i do with the boost elbow(the line is hard plumbed)

Any suggestions will be appreciated

The EZ plugs into the MAP (flat/oval shaped) sensor and the Data link connection. The map sensor is located on the drivers side of the engine, behind the fuel filter mounting bracket on the side of the head, in front of the IAT sensor when standing on the bumper. The MAP connector on the EZ is the wire with the dual plugs at th end. You plug the male end off the EZ into the sensor port after removing the stock plug. next turn the Stock plug into the female port provided on the same cable. The second cable from the EZ has a flat 3pin connection. This connector connects to the data link connection hanging out of the main wire harness that runs lengthwase along the block. Mine was hanging out of the harness right next to the injection pump, but I have seen them back by the fuel filter. The data link connection on the truck has a cover, remove it and plug the EZ connector in its place. Clear as mud?

If you have an automatic transmission it means you have a hardline wastegate, to a search for "turnbuckle" to see a few methods of disableing it.

Mine was actually held in place behind the fuel filter with a plastic clip... . took a bit to find it and break it loose! .

That's where mine is, on my 01...

You said you bought it used, so I'm sure your aware that the plugs are different on different model years. If yours doesn't fit your MAP sensor, you have the wrong EZ model for your truck. If that's the case, call Edge and see if they have an adapter. Have fun... :)

I believe that adapter may be available from edge as well. One shipped with some of the kits.

AC

AC that adapter shipped with the box comes with the 98-2000 only, for variation in the data link connector.
