I am installing a remote start and turbo timer and need a hand please.

I am looking at the bunch of wires running under the steering column.

I need to know the color of the + parking light wire, the + starter output, and the + ignition.

Thank you for your help,

Ben

Any-body?

I have it all apart right now and don’t want to have to tuck it all out of the way temporarily.

Thanks

If they kept the colors the same from '97... .

Ignition (start) = dark blue/yellow

Ignition (start/run) = dark blue

Ignition (run) = black/orange

Ignition (acc/run) = red

Park lamp switch = Black/yellow

When I installed my turbo timer (before I bought the FSM) I just probed the wires until I found what I was looking for.

What I came up with is:

Park Lts = BK/YL

Run/Acc = bk/wt

Start =yellow (at least til it gets to the clutch switch or bypass, then yl/rd.

It's hard to figure it all out from the FSM unless you use it often, and I don't have a '98 anymore.

As ewcmr2 says, use a test light to be sure before tapping into or cutting any wires.

I installed my turbo timer/remote start alarm and I am having a little trouble. All help is appreciated.

Using advice from TDR I checked the black/white wire under the steering column as the “run” circuit. With a tester hooked up, it shows 12V in key position “run”.

However, when I try the remote start function, the alarm unit sends 12V to that black/white wire, but the lights on the dash don’t illuminate. Then after waiting the proper amount of time (programmed by me, for the grids to cycle) the unit turns over (cranks) the engine, but it does not start.

Same thing with the Turbo timer, in that it will not stay running when I turn off the key, even though all the proper steps have been followed.

Can someone shed some light for me here???
