 I fixed the rotted lines on top that are the supply and return with brass fitttings and copper tubing and did a diesel rated rubber line all cranked up with worm clamps inside module to bottom thing that i assume is a crude check valve above the red screen. Now i cant get the thing to pump up with the primer bulb i only get air bubbles no real fuel supply. Can i just remove that sad plastic ck valve and pump thru the screen. I hate to give dodge 250. 00 for a new fuel module since in the end it is only a plastic holder for the sender and a place for the 2 lines to route to the screen.

thanks

Update to my post

I have given up working on this folish plastic tank module and have one on the way for wed am. I cant figure what all the moving parts are for in this thing.

Im glad to give the dealer 309. 00 for a new module to be done working on this. I need to get it running so i can get it to the front end shop for alignment to fix the death wobble. Its 1 thing after another with this truck.

Plastic Tank

Had mine replaced three times by Chrysler. It has been almost a year and I have no problems. I hope all goes well with yours.

Got it in and runningnow. mopar 4 less.com was 227. 00 and about 5 days to get it here and my local dealer had it next day and gave me a break from the original quote of 307. oo down to 246. 00. That was a fair price I thought. I had to scrap the crazy quick connects and use diesel rated rubber lines a foot or so to the metal lines with clamps. Hope they hold they seem to be under some pressure and im nervous as a cat now. At least its easy to check and work on since I have a 7 x7 inch hole cut in the bed for future repairs. I love my sawsall.

rotted fuel lines

My 99 3500 dually leaked fuel for to long, I came accross Nolf Dodge in New Bethlehem PA. The had steel replacment pieces, I dropped the tank ( 2 bolts ) and cut off the rusted lines flush with the module. Then JB Welded the new parts ( which just fit into the top lines ) , let cure for 24 hours and reinstalled with new diesel fuel line and clamps to frame side lines. That was 6 months ago, so far so good, about $20 for parts.
