Help with Idle and larger injectors

I searched but didn't find... .



Is it normal for the idle to drop when installing larger injectors? I've changed nothing else... yet. Just trying to double check that I'm doing things right before adjusting some more.

Yes, thats normal. Reset it to where it wants to smooth out and idle good, generally around 800 rpm's.

Yep, same deal here when I installed my POD's. I was idling a bit high from turning in the full fuel screw and the POD install brought it back down.

Thanks for the info... other than the idle drop, all works really well so I must have gotten it right. I make the adjustments soon.

Next Problem

How do those of us with normal size hands and all our fingers reach the idle screw to adjuct it. I don't see a way to do it without taking off the fuel line right in front of it. Hard to "Set" the idle when you have to take the pump apart and put it back together after each turn... . there has got to be an easier way???

I used a small sharp chisel to loosen the nut, then the screw almost turned itself. Repeat chisel to tighten nut. Just don't use a 4lb hammer, be gentle.
