On the directions Im told to loosen the sway bar links. I cant find them in the haynes manual is thuren refereing to the front stabilizer bar links? Im in maine thuren is in CA and I want to install this bar this morning.

the sway bar links are at the end of the sway bar. The are the vertical rods that connect to the sway bar by little cookie looking rubber bushings. they are tightened down by a nut that is on the threaded end of the link.

Stablizer and sway bar are different names for the same thing as noted on previous post. I just replaced all those bushings and the links a few months ago and rebuilt my track bar with Luks Link.

Heres a pic from service manual in another thread in this forum:

BTW, I believe I had to drop the sway bar to get the links off because of the tension on the links.

Thankyou all for helping, i just like to make sure before I tear into something. The trackbar is on and noticable improvement to the steering.

I didn't remove anything but the old trac-bar.

How did the adjustment go for you?

I had a hell-of-a-time getting mine centered... ...

It is a nice unit, though I'd like to see a split-sleeve adjustment.

On the adjustment I might be out a 1/4" measuring from the spring mounts across the tires but it looks strait I need to drive it through some puddles and see the tire tracks. I hope its ok, I don't want to take it off.
