Is there anyone in the Ocala, Leesburg area that can assist me with checking and/or possibly fixing the KDP. I have no problem helping, I just don't know enough about it to fell comfortable attacking the job myself.

Thanks in advance, this site is great!!!

Hay, I know what you mean. I am not ready to rip into that timing case yet either and it needs to be done so I can enjoy my truck. I'm gona fork over the green and have it done even though I've rebuilt MB engines I'm not comfortable doing a KDP... YET :D

It sounds worse than it really is. Only took me about 3-4hrs to do mine. Would've gone quicker, but had trouble the crank seal install. We had words. It is a very simple process. Nothing major has to come off.

I would suggest taking the timing cover off. There are some bolts in there that come loose also. Had to tighten mine up.

The kit from TST has very clear, step-by-step instructions. Only part that may be a PITA is getting the new crank seal into the timing cover.

Thanks for the reply's

Thanks for the reply's, I might tackle the job myself. Can anyone tell me about the TST Kit??? where do I buy it?? Website??? Thanks in Advance.
