Off Roading Help with Warn XD9000I

I'm not sure what I did to my winch this weekend. I used it several times to pull people out, and I got it underwater a couple of times. The last time I tried to use it, it just made a buzzing noise. Any suggestions where to look first? What about warranty? I bought it from a friend, but it is fairly new. I think just over a year old.

I have no complaints about it though. It worked great and I abused the mess out of it.

It probably does'nt have anything to do with yours, as it sounds like an electrical problem, but my M15000 had a threaded hole in the gear case that did'nt have a bolt or plug in it. I'm glad I found it before too long and pluged it before any water could get in there.



How loud is the buzzing? If it's not too loud, it could be the contacts in the relay. Those things don't like water.

pretty quiet. Not like a starter solenoid or anything. The tone is a little different from forward to reverse.
