I went with the 16 psi fuel pressure gauge from westach. I'm also using the steering column mount and the Geno's hose. That said, can someone help me with the wiring? I connected the hose to the schrader valve on the vp44. I run the other end to the sending unit. Where is the best place to mount the sending unit? I've read firewall and engine block. Block doesn't make much sense, seeing as I don't want vibration, right? Then where is the best place to run the wires through the firewall? How much wire do I need to add to what is already on the gauge? to make it reach? After it goes through the firewall, what is the best routing up to the steering wheel? I know I'm retarded, but I appreciate the help anyway. I really want to get this gauge up and running.

On my '01, I used fishing line taped to an 18" long thin screwdriver (like the ones used to adjust carburetors) and poked through the rubber grommet where the steering column goes through the firewall. I pulled the wiring (all appropriate PWR, sending units wires... etc) at one time an let it run off the spool as required. Once through. I cut to length as appropriate. After all is installed, I schmeed some sealer at the grommet.

I read somewhere a good place to run the lite is off the ashtray lite wire, so it dims with the dash lites. hope this might help :D

Yes, I did this on the '01..... too bad it is no longer dimmed on the 3G's as I was hoping to do this on my new one (still have to install them on it. )

I also tapped the 'key- on' power outlet for the gauges 12V source.

I know the poster of this thread is looking at a column mount, mine were pilar mount... BUT, for the wire runs to the pilar as well as behind the dash... I went to a home center and got nylon (plastic) tubing to use as a 'conduit' for running the various wires. This reason was two- fold: 1- to run the 'conduit' once then feed the wires as required inside the tubing... and 2- to protect the wires from chaffing against anything inside.
