Help with wheels on 06 2500 CTD

Gentlemen,



I recently purchased a set of 325/60/r18 (33x13. 50x18) procomp extreme allterrains on procomp extreme alloy wheels. I am running the dick cepek 2 inch leveling kit on my truck. These tires are only 33's and they rub the fender long before the wheel is turned all the way. They rub on both the driver and passenger side. I am guessing that the wizards at Four Wheel Parts Wholesalers sent me wheels with the wrong back spacing. The backspacing on my stock wheels is 5 3/4 inches. My new procomp wheels have 4. 5 inch backspacing. I was wondering if any one knew what the proper backspacing was for aftermarket wheels for the 06 trucks. These tires also stick out past the fenders by at least 4 inches ( I have fender flares ordered) I am not really intrested in buying a 4inch lift for my truck just so I can run 33's. Any info you guys can give me is apprciated. Thanks in advance,

I don't know what the measured back spacing is on the HELO GUNS that I got for my truck but they are close to factory as my 285 17's don't stick out but 2 inches.



When I was looking for rims and tires going to the 4 Wheel boys i was going to end up buying the 400 each Welds (not including mounting and balancing the BFG's I had. ) to retain the proper back spacing.



The HELO'S came from Discount Tire they ordered, installed and Road Force balanced the BFG's for under 800 out the door. (I already had the 285's on my factory rims) Can't beat the price or the service...

I'm guessing you got 18x9/10 wheels. 4. 5" of backspacing is normal for most aftermarket wheels and the wheel will stick out further.



You also got an extremely wide tire which pushes the tread out even further. The arc (radius) that the wheel/tire follows when turning the steering wheel has been increased by ~4" so that is why they are catching the corner of the fender. You can put 35's on stock rims and they will turn in w/o hitting the lower back fender corner because the arc is tighter and further in.



I put 17x9's with 4. 5" backspacing on my 04. 5 with a 2" levelling kit. I could run 285/70/17 tires no problem, but 315's would rub like yours are.



There are only a few options. There are a few wheels made specifically with 6" backspacing, but they are expensive. Run a narrower tire in the 285/295 range.
