Crew Cab conversion ???

I saw a thread on the TDR forums one time where a guy was putting a Dodge transmission on a Chevy engine and I have been trying to go through the archives but can't seem to find it. I have a gentleman calling me back who is trying to do this and I wanted to direct him in the right way. Does anyone recall this thread or able to find this thread.

Thank you,

Peter

There is a place in Los Angles, i think it called trans adapt. there are a couple companies in Cal. that sell adaption plates. Need to do a yahoo search and see.

Peter,

Try Advance Adapters in Paso Robles, CA. They have been in business for a very long time and have adapters for just about everything, although they specialize in 4WD applications. If they don't have it I bet they could tell you where you could find it.

Web site is www.advanceadapters.com

Phone is 800-350-2223

Good luck,

Bob

Check www.wilcap.com. This company has been making adapters probably longer than anyone. I met Tony Capana at his shop back in the 60's or 70's and I have never met a better fabricator in my life. He was doing diesel conversions back then on cars and trucks. I remember seeing some small car there with a 4 cylinder Perkins in it. He was machining most adapters and flywheels from flat aluminum or steel plates in his shop.

I checked the site and saw that they are saying they are back. I am assuming the family is making an effort to revive the magic. Check out the pictures link for a look at some really old hot rods, such as Tony's Marmon v16 powered hot rod.
