Help: AT will not go into OD, Trans oil level 1" above full mark!?

New member needs advice on automatic trans problem. Dealer is having the truck towed in for service (did not want me driving it 50miles in 3rd) but I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem before. I also need to know if there are any other TSBs or common problems I need the dealer to fix while the truck is in the shop.



While backing out of driveway truck shuttered just after trans was put in drive but pulled off normally after that. As I got up to speed the trans did not shift into OD. After 2 miles I pulled over killed engine, restarted and continued on but still no OD. Turned around and checked trans fluid to find it 1" above the max. full hot mark and some bubbles on dipstick! Truck only has 9300 miles.



Also is anyones PS hose wearing a hole in there intake manifold to intercooler hose connecter? I'm not sure if my truck is covered by the 2100 RPM vib thing or not.

HillCountry kid: I had the same problem, see my post P0700 in the 03 NG, no engine or transmission. Good luck getting your truck repaired.
