Hemi Couldn't Hang-

I raced a Hemi 1500 4x4 today from a 50 MPH roll on the Hardy Toll Road today (for those in Houston) and walked him pretty good. We probably ran up to 110 or so, didn't look, too busy waiting for one of my 315's to blow out

Didn't even downshift out of 6th

This was my first race with a Hemi, but was under the impression they would beat me... . I am surprised I got him, especially after getting beat by the Titan a couple of weeks back.

Does the Heavy Duty shut off at 112? I read that some where. Not that it matters, I don't think superman could react fast enough behind the wheel of 7000 plus pounds at over 100MPH if a deer showed up... .



It's not like the 315's are Z rated

Heck, they're probably not even H rated.

Depending on whether you're going uphill, downhill, etc, it seems like the governer shuts it out between 108 and 112.



And the brakes work VERY well going that fast when a deer comes into view. :|

108 was as fast as my '03 would go. Got up there pretty fast to 107, then 108 no more go



My '01 was good for 10mph faster.

well since im here he he, i just walked away from a 460 F-350, gotta love that look of disbelief on the face of the guy, you would think he would expect it driving a furd and all! we were doing about 70, he cut me off so when i got room i drove up next to him, and let er rip! gotta love it!

The '05 with 3. 73 poops out at 110 indicated, 108 on GPS. Don't really care to go any faster than that, however getting up to that speed in half the time would be fun!
