Hemi Gas mileage

I know this is a diesel forum and I am not ever giving up my diesel unless california makes me but I was wondering what kind of gas mileage those new hemi's are getting.

I here about 8-10 MPG

I got 10 mpg with my V10, and that's with 75 more lb/ft of torque than that silly Hemi.



If you're going gasser, GO V10!

Phord V-10 gets 10. 1 EMPTY! I heard the Hemi was getting 13-17.

My old 360, in my 99, got an increadable 4mpg. I also burned 2 engines out in 30,000. That is why I now drive a CTD Oo.

If my Brother keeps his foot out of it, (and keeps his wife from driving it ) he gets 17 (mostly highway). But it runs SO NICE and has one of the best gasser sounds on the market, its hard to keep your foot out of it.



He was all set to buy another Chevy until they came out with the "bat mobil" style headlights this year, so I talked him into the Hemi. They love it! I almost lost him back to Chevy after he bought that lazy 318 in 2000.

I've heard 15 to 17 from friends of mine. One of them ran his at the track a couple of weeks ago. It's a shortbed 2 wheel drive half ton and only ran 15. 40s at 89 mph just like the other Hemi at the track had ran earlier. There were 2 chivvie shortbeds there with 5. 3s running 14. 80s and 14. 90s and were having a hay-day smoking him repeatedly. He is now wanting a Kenne-Bell blower. I suggested an 03 HO with an auto. LOL
