When did it bite you?

TMTT. .

I seen that Werst Mr. 5 & 50 Cuda for many years here in our area. Jack Werst was known for some of the most righteous running Hemi's on the East Coast. One thing both you and Klenger are over looking though is this one particuar car is NOT for sale at 175G's but look closer at the small board in front,it says 225G's which is more lke it. Heck even Ray Barton gets 175,000 for a complete turn key SS/AA or SS/A Dart Or Cuda which will run on or close to the national record. The original factory cars which are uncut and un tubbed in any way will bring ALOT more. The absolute finest example of the nicest uncut car that I have seen in recent years is Steve Atwells 68 Dart. Housed not far from me for better than the last 30 years unseen by public eyes is Werst's 70 Acid dipped Hemi Superbird which he campained for only a short time. That year there was only 2 Acid dipped Birds sent out of Ma Mopars shops, one to Sox and one to Werst. The Sox car has resurfaced and has been shown for a few years and the old Werst car sits where the current owner wants it to,hidden. One of Sox's old Hemi SS/B stick cars has come out of hibernation and I seen that on the internet for sale a while ago along with their 1 of 1 340 Stick 68 Cuda. Hemi's,man what a sound which no one will ever copy. Speaking of them,BIG Hemi Shootout at Englishtown at their Mopar Show. The SS/AA and SS/A cars will be having a "heads-up" shootout paying $10,000 to win. I am certain with cool air projected and good weather the heavy hitters will slip in and this will be a whale of a show.

BTW Tim,

I'll dig into my archives and post some more for you later after dinner. Remember the two most important Hemi quotes ever...

"There are two types of racers, those who race Hemi's and those who wish they could"-"Bullitt" Bob Reed said tha at E-Town a few years ago

"HEMI-Takes the worry out of being close"-Seen by me on the back of a SS/AA car a few years ago... ... ..... Andy
