I would appreciate any feedback on the Hensley hitch.
Also I am looking for one if anyone has one for sale.
I have a 28' Holiday Rambler Aluma-lite TT on order, with a dry weight of aprox. 7650 #.
I am going to tow it with a SWB QC pickup.
(Cummins powered of course).
The ad says it completely eliminates sway. The few people I have talked to that have them, love them.
The only problem is they're so darn expensive, if you buy them new.
Every time I see one for sale in Trailer Life magazine, it's allready gone when I call.

Thanks for any info in advance.

I use a hensley hitch with to sunnybrook trailer. The trailer is 26 foot with the super slide. I am using a quad cab long bed and this is a very stable towing setup. I really like the hensley as it really does eliminate sway. I figure if you spend 30,000 + for the truck and another 20000+ for the trailer than the hitch is a small price to pay for its towing superiority and safety to my family.

The Hensley is a very good system. Finding a used one is hard. You can call Hensley and check if they have any, but it's a long shot. You sometimes see them for sale on the RV newsgroups.
Hitch is guaranteed for life to the original owner. TT will make sharper turns and track better with one, also seems easier to back trailer up. Also helps eleminate the push caused when tractor trailers fly by.
Do they eliminate ALL forms of sway, no but they do a very good job helping to control sway. Still have to load TT properly and drive sensible. They are well worth the cost for safety and drivability when towing. As someone said it's a small price when compared to the cost of your RAM and TT.

Thanks for the replies.
I haven't heard any negitave feed back so far. If the post stays active maybe i'll get lucky and someone will want to sell one before my trailer comes in. If not i'll probably bite the bullet and buy a new one.
Like you guys say it's a big investment that i'm trying to protect. I do plan on doing a lot of miles towing.
I appreciate all the help.

Contact them at hensleymfg.com They have a video tape you must see. If you tow very much it is great you won't go back. It will relive the white knuckles. They had a sale on at xmas time I got a card from them. talk to them you might work out a better price.

Just a comment on the Hensley video, they make a GREAT product, but a Caddy towing a tri axle Airstream is a liitle much. That's #10,000 + TT being towed with a vehicle that probably only has a #2000 tow rating. Try to stop that baby in an emergency going 65 MPH down the interstate. . The video over plays on the emotions and kinda makes you think you can tow anything with anything as long as it has a Hensley.

That said the Hensley is a great product and well worth the investment, their video advertising, well... . take it with a grain of salt.
