I have a rebuilt trans thanks to last weekends labor. My dipstick tube is between an A/C line and heater hose that both enter the dash. Did I put this in the wrong spot ? Seamed like the correct spot as the backet-bolt hole lined up as it slid into the seal.

It is moving over and vibrating on the A/C line when I put it in gear. Could someone with an '05 with an automatic take a peek under their hood, please?

Thanks

Bend the mount bracket until it doesn't hit anything. Did the same with mine when I put the trans back in.

That is the right spot. Mine did this too and it drove me nuts.

I cushioned clamped the dipstick tube to the steel heater pipe to keep it from vibrating.

Cushion clamps are available at any auto parts store. They are steel clamps with a rubber insert on the ID of the clamp. I used a 1/4" capscrew, washers and a nylock nut to fasten the two clamps together.

Don't know why Dodge didn't do this... probably would have cost them $0. 50

No more vibration of the dipstick tube.

Hope this helps,

Louis

If you moved the A/C line(s) at all, run down all of them, there is a couple of spots on the fender that will not all allow any movement, just to be on the safe side I would split loom all the A/C lines. It takes no time to rub a small hole and leak all the refrigerant out$$$$
