Went to the diesel drags this weekend :--) shudda stayed home! I think I'm bit. I've got a question though. My trucks an 06 4x4 with 3. 73's. I bought a triple dog a while back but use it on tow economy only. We went into the pits to talk to some of the folks and they said I could run my rig with minimal upgrades to start just wouldn't be fast. I have a roktech muffler installed and a true flow intake. One guy said I should get a boost fooler and start messin with the triple dog to see how my truck responds at the higher settings.

Lookin for any input

Before you go any farther you need to seriously consider where you want to be. You are going to need trans work no matter what, but to what level is up to you. you need to address this before considering more power. More power means nothing if there is smoke coming out of the trans dipstick tube!

I was already thinking about updating the TC to an ATS after the holidays. I don't want to go too big in power... ... maybe just what the stock turbo can air

If you want to play on the strip you are going to need a billet input shaft. I would recommend a flexplate. The converter is good but the Valvle body will make th ebigger difference, but increasing line pressure and ramping up pressure faster. Firmer, faster shifts and more holding power in lockup. You really need to do them both.

I recommend Suncoast myself. Suncoast and NADP have done me nothing but good!

Suncoast is located in Florida. Where are you?

They offer different calibrations depending on what you are doing. Same with converters. They have 3 different levels of converters for what you need it to do for you.

If you do a boosted launch on the stock input you are just askin to snap it.

You can find out more about Suncoast at www.suncoastconverters.com

I've got some slightly used and I do mean slightly used DTT parts if you're interested. That would be a Torque converter, vb and an input shaft.

Nice run!

AFARMER!

You need to bring that 99 out here to Cali and smoke these Duramax's! Oo.

I hate to say it, but they were givin the Dodge boys a rough tow to row at the drags on Sunday

I've never seen a street Dslack that could hang. There are some pretty good strictly drag racing only ones. I've never been out run by one.
