if so you could shoehorn a 5. 9 and an auto and have a real runner!!



probably have to fab a custom pan to get lo in the chassis. . at the least

Good Idea But Too Much Work!

Go get the drivetrain out of a '70's new yorker or newport with a 440 or 400 and a set of mounts from Schumaker and you'll be way happier and go much faster. Somehow drag racing a z-28 while hauling a tractor behind you doesn't sound real appealing. Besides, the frame could never take it. Trust me on this one.

If a unibody A-body can take a hemi or a 440 it can take a 4bt, plus the 4bt would be different. I have a 499 stroker I built up sitting in my garage on a stand and for some reason I have no desire to put it in the dart...
