Using the Valiant kit from J. C. Whitney (29. 95), I installed mine in about 30 minutes using the following steps:
1. Remove glove compartment by removing four screws at bottom.
2. You will see a large multi-wire connector toward the right side of the opening. You can temporarily disconnect it to make wiring easier.
2. You will see a 5/16 hex-head metal screw on the bottom left side of the glove box opening. Attach the black ground wire there, using a crimp-on ring connector.
3. You will see the glove box light on the left. Remove the pink 12v wire from the glove box light and cut off the miniature spade connector. Using a new miniature spade connector, insert the white and red wires from the keyless remote wiring harness (the ones with the fuse holders), as well as the pink wire that you just removed from the glove box light, into the miniature spade connector. Crimp the connector onto the three wires and reattach the new connector to the glove box light.
4. Cut the pink and orange wires on the left side of the large multi-wire connector of your truck's wiring harness that's sitting on top of the heater box, leaving plenty of room on each end for splicing. Be careful NOT to cut the pink/black or orange/black wires in the same wiring harness!
4. Have plenty of 10 amp spade type fuses on hand! Connect the gray wire from the remote harness to one end of the pink wire of the truck harness and the blue wire from the remote harness to the other end of the pink wire from the truck harness. Reconnect the large multiwire connector if you disconnected it to gain working room. Push the "open" button on the remote. If the fuse blows, swap the gray and blue wires, and crimp the connections with butt connectors.
5. Connect the blue wire of the remote harness to one end of the orange wire of the truck harness and the yellow wire of the remote harness to the other end of the orange wire of the truck harness. Try the "lock" button on the remote. If the fuse blows, reverse the blue and yellow wires. Crimp the connections using butt connectors.
6. Use wire ties to keep the receiver/controller and all the wires tied up out of the way of the glove box. I let my fuse holders hang just out of sight below the glove box for easy access.
7. Reinstall the glove box, and enjoy your remote.
8. I fou feel adventuresome, you can use the extra button (trunk release) to operate your horn or flash your parking lights!

Man that would be great but I dont think my power locks work anymore though. Maybe its just the switches and the remote would still work!

I did too, Gary. Guess I better get in there and see what's going on!
Wirenut, you can get a power door lock kit from J. C. W... cheaper than replacing the Dodge parts. Just use the actuators, or replace the switches too (they're probably about shot like mine!)
