Hey - How's the development of the Chapters going?

Just wondering how the Chapter growth is working out. How about posting your Chapter name, members numbers and web address, if you got one.

Still waiting for the paperwork to make it official but we've got 72 registered members.



Planning the second annual Texas Rally to be held September 29th and 30th at Buckhorn Lake Resort.

We are just getting one going here although we will have all brands in our club.



If all works out it will be called the Intermountain Turbo Diesel Club.

I'm just wonderin' what a TDR chapter would do. I know some guys around here (Phx, AZ) met a few months ago, but I never heard how that went. So my question is what do we do when we finally agree on a time and place to meet? What other benefits/activities are involved?

The GLTDR usually spends some time doing some installs of accessories, when we get together. This is great for the guys who are leary of doing their own installs and between us, there are plenty of tools to get the job done.



We have gotten together for breakfast, just to BS and get to know each other. And we've been camping too. I think the camaraderie is near the top of benefits. It helps if you get to know each other in a chat room before you meet in person.



Some people are nothing like what you think until you meet them in person Like: Did you know that SteveSt likes to gross everyone out by running around without a shirt on? LOL

WI, MN, IL, IA

We have an unofficial local thing going here. So far we've had a lunch get together, a bombing session, a dyno weekend, and a breakfast gathering (that one was yesterday). We have 37 guys on the list from WI (22), IA (7), MN (6), and IL (2). The hub of our group is WI with eastern MN, northeast IA, and northwest IL, although anyone is sure welcome. We communicate through email. Our dyno weekend in NE Iowa was a great success and will most likely be an annual event. We don't have a name or any formal structure. I keep the list up to date and send out mass emails about our events. Getting together like this really brings out the whole point of the club, in my opinion. Meeting new friends, helping each other with projects, and just general conversation about trucks and other things is what it's all about.

For some reason. The Heartland TDR comes to mind.

It's great that you got guys driving some pretty good distances to talk trucks. Good Luck with it.

I just tried to sign up and was a little confused by the process. I filled in the form and clicked the submit button then it said it was going to send the info by email, up popped an addressed email that contained no message body. Was I supposed put all the same info in the email and send it or what?

Andy and Doug of www.smokindiesel.com and I are starting a Chapter centered on Pittsburgh, Pa, area.



We are having a cruise in at Quaker Steak & Lube in Sharon, Pa, Aug. 5th. 12:00 Noon.

The cruise is open to all Diesels, big or small or Chevy, LOL!!!



Also I will be at Quaker City Dragstrip in Salem, Ohio for an all Diesel dragrace, Aug. 18.

Mason Dixon TDR

**ICEMAN**, Hammer and I have been trying to get a new chapter going as you can see by then following threads:

We are initially calling it the MASON DIXON TDR, but the final name will be up to the majority of the members once we get it started. So far interest has been encouraging, just hope it doesn’t peter out.

Hope this question doesn't sound too "duh", do you have to join the local or state chapter as well as the "registry"? If you do, hook me up!! I need to know.

No Tentman, the chapters are independant. You join if you want to get together with your TDR brothers, who live in your area.

I think the NorthWest BOMBers are in your area. Power Wagon is building a web site for them, I believe. Maybe one of them will jump in and tell us about it.

The Desert Rattlers. . we also get visitors from SW Utah, and SoCal, and it seems like the occasional Arizonian. . and the occasional visit from the "full-race configured F-650 red rocket" from the SF area... . where's Joe Donnelly, anyway? He's the Grand Poohbah down here, but I haven't seen any posts from him lately... . ... he is OK, i presume??? rich m
