Good idea, I made the appropriate code changes tonight. We will have to see how it works out in the long run though because it is a much more complex query to get that information - if the server load is too high I may have to revert back to the old way. As it is right now the system has to go through the entire database of over 350,000 posts go get that data every time someone goes to the main forum screen. We'll see.

If that doesn't work how bout running the query once at the end of each month and posting the results? Not as good as a running total but better than nothing.

While I'm thinking up things for you to do, can you show the top 10 posters? Or would this be asking too much?



Seems to be working very quickly now.

It could be added to the list Larry. However, I'm reluctant to add anything more to the header because as it is now users that are viewing the website at low resolutions (640x480) have nearly a full screen of the header information as it is. You can see the list of the top 10 posters by clicking on the members link in the upper right hand corner and then clicking on the top 10 posters link.

Yea, display space could be a problem. I was thinking of a running 30 day top 10 (or top 3 for that matter) so the #2 guy could see how far he is behind illflem. Ah, Just an idea I thought might add some fun. Thanks for being so responsive.
