Hey MNTDR... (me needs your help!)

How ya'll doing? I cant make the Saturday deal due to haveing to be 6hrs away in WI, but any of ya'll wana grilled burger or brat Friday night? I need to replace the ol' injector Pump on the DodgeZilla and need some desperate help! I am suppose to leave Saturday morning for a good friends grad party, and its at least a 5-6 hour drive, and I told him I would be there by noon.



Your help would be greatly appreciated!



I live in Lakeville MN so if any of you are willing to come on over, that would be GREEEEEAAAAT! Hopefully the new pump will be he on Friday! Let me know if any of you can make it, again, I will grill hamburgers, brats, what ever ya want. (sorry no beer, I dont drink so I dont even buy it)

what do you have for tools? i have friday off if you really need help. send out some PM's to some guys and ask around or have them do it.



i have replaced mine nad its not fun. if your truck is already down and you have time start by taking off the injection lines in 2 sets of 3. DO NOT seperate the lines as i did. what a pain to put back together. call me if you dont find anyone 763-443-5681

Good advice Fat Kid, I remember that night, we had to pull you away from your truck... ... ... . lol. Besides, why are you asking for tools, don't you carry a huge assortment with at all times?

Sorry Alpha, I will be close to Lakeville, since my brother lives there, but doing family things that night, staying in some hotel, I think... ..... wife makes the plans, I just drive... ... ... ..... lol.

yeah, its down, I dont dare drive it and get stranded with a large tow bill. I guess I could yank it out right now. not that big a deal if I cant start it up i guess. when i have time to night, I might dig into it.



as far as tools, nothing special, just a few ratchet and open end wrench sets. What tools do I HAVE to have? Let me know, and if possible I will pick them up later today so I dont have to get stuck without a tool half way through it... Man this should be fun on a 5" lifted truck I am tempted to yank the front tires and set her down on blocks as low as I can get them! :-laf

Set of injectors gonna cost ya more than a burger or brawt... ... ..... lol. Andy will you need the crows foot?, or my short 19? Let me know I will find a way to get it to ya if u are heading over.

you do need that gear puller. its a weird one with 2 bolts you tighten up and it forces the gear off. and providing you dont drop the key in the front cover its not to hard of a job.



jim i got crow's feet i just need your custom 19 stubby. i can swing by work and pick it up.



the only thing you cant do is pop the gear without the puller but if you had it broke down that far it would be 3 hrs to put it back in.

I will call Tim and and pick it up from the shop. BTW i got my parts from Brad yesterday for the FASS. So while I am fixing the VAC leak I guess I can get the FASS done too, although I have no problems with mine.

I just talked to Tim and that is fine, he also said that J/P has one if you don't wanna come over this way, as well as he should have a shorty wrench too.

OK, here is the scoop. Guess I am free Friday, the B-day thing is next Friday. So Matt PM me some directions so the Fat Kid and myself can get out there, since you don't drink beer is it OK to bring? I get off at 3 but can get out earlier to help get this done. Just let me know. Fat Kid won't read till tomorrow since he is at work now. I plan on stopping by and grabbing the puller and bringing the rest.

I know how to get to Lakeville, just get me directions from there. Later Jim.

you guys are the best I tell ya! If you want to drink a few, It doesnt bother me, just dont want ya drinkin a case and driving home (even though I have full confidence in ya'll not doing it, just makein sure ya know) I am self-employed and if I need to get off a few hours early on friday, I dont think it should be a problem. let me know a time that works best for ya'll and we'll git-r-done!



I may not have any spare time before now and then to pull off any parts, so it might be the whole sha-bang friday. How long ya'll think it will take?



SJ, I will PM you my address, it VERY easy to find and comes up on mapquest pretty easy!

THANK YOU!!! Andy and Jim both came out and helped, ok, pretty much did, my IP install! Problem fixed! Runs great and it only took us, I think it was ~4 hours. I had the Intake horn, APPS, and a few other parts off by the time they got here, not to mention in the garage, tires off and layed down so we could reach in the hood... :-laf





Also, thanks to Bob Wagner for making sure the pump hit my door step today, and it did, and also for a great price on the new VP-44
