our 92 GMC is doin the same thing has been doin it for a few years now still hasnt come off yet not really a big deal

Mine did the same thing on the original. Had it replaced under the 3/36 warranty. My new one is starting to do the same thing. Just gotta’ chalk it up to quality control of DC. :rolleyes: I am not too worried about it. My truck is just that: a truck. If I were the type who washes/ waxes it every weekend it might be a different story. When it gets real bad, I will probably remove all the chrome and paint it flat black.

Mine started to blister then later on you'll be using the pressure washer and it will catch that blister and peel the chrome off. I replaced my grill when the truck got painted and had 3m scotchcal film applied to the grill, headlights and hood to prevent paint chips and the grill peeling again. It works nice.

Yup, mine started last winter (when it was 3 and 1/2 years old). It must have gotten a small stone chip that let moisture in. It looks the same a year later - doesn't seem to be getting any worse.

Did it start with a rock ding? A ding started the peeling on my brush guard ... now it's more than 1/2 gone. :{

On the grill ... you may be able to sand it & get a plastic clear coat/sealer.
