Error message when uploading photos

Got this in my e-mail this afternoon. I haven't downloaded it or run it. Thought I would run it by you guys and check it's validity.

It came over on the address.



Klez. E is the most common world-wide spreading worm. It's very dangerous by corrupting your files.

Because of its very smart stealth and anti-anti-virus technic,most common AV software can't detect or clean it.

I did about 2 weeks ago, but it came to me saying it was some game. AV software caught it, though, and as far as I can tell, it's gone.

We got the Klez on our old computer. My daughter and I share the computer at home. I don't know if its something I looked at are she did. We had H*** getting it off. My ISP said to get Norton AntiVirus 03 and it should get it off. NO. After talking to them and doing what they suggested and getting no results I took it to my ISP. I don't know how many times they used the restore disk on it and talked to Norton. They were about to give up but the fellow working on it just wanted to try one more time and it took the Norton. Everything was working fine it just would not install the Norton. When my daughter first installed Norton it showed we had Klez and I forget how many other strings of it too. But for now its working ok. I guess thats what I get for not keeping my anti-virus up to date:eek: We have since got another computer Dell and I think I will give the ole one Compaq to my son and his wife.
 
We had the Klez worm tear through our network at work- came in on an unprotected PC that is used for digital scanning. An employee was sneaking out on the internet to check his yahoo mail from it, and inadvertanltly downloaded it. It was a MAJOR pain to get rid of- took over a month. Our AV system and firewall catch the Klez worm now about 4 times a week.
