The last I heard, STeve was crossing into Canada 20 seconds ahead of the postal inspectors...

A little advice to others out there contemplating this - do not try to ship animal body parts through the mail!

Friend of mine shipped a fresh deer hide to someone who wanted to make something with it via the post office. The guy got a notice to pick up the package at the post office, went in and the whole PO smelled like a dead carcass. The postman said they hadn't found where the smell was coming from, but when they did someone had hell to pay. The guy got his butt out ASAP.

Another trick. If the bank turns you down for a loan store fish in a safe deposit box.

Well that wasn't the problem illflem. I guess I should shed some light on this so others don't get in trouble. Doc asked me for a certain body part from a male deer so that he could make a shifter cover for Rambi-slayer. When I bagged a spike in gun season I package it in salt double bagged in baggies and shipped it out priority mail. Well about 2 months later I get a phone call from a postal inspector - turns out I did something illegal (I had no clue). After kissing butt for a while I got off with a stern warning. Who would have known?

Illflem, I like the idea of the fish in the safety deposit box. I could have used that a few times trying to get my first auto loan. That would have been great.

Steve, Illegal? Who woulda thought?
