Trailer Brakes Don't Release Completely

Has anyone heard of a Hi Jacker 5th Wheel 16K Ultra Double Pivot Hitch. I looked them up on the internet, Hijacker. They look impressive, but is anyone using one. They are made in Canada.

I"ve got one & so does my brother. Awesome hitch in my opinion with a very positive locking mechanism! My younger brother has a reese I believe & he actually dropped his 5vr on his bedrails... The best part of my hitch is you can clearly see when it's locked, period! No guessing about the status of the hitch as the bar slides in front of the kingpin & you drop the pin into the latch & your done. Great hitch & the double pivot makes it a snap to get hooked up regardless of terrain.

Thanks, that's a good review. I got a good quote from an Arctic Fox dealer in NE Oregon on a 27-5L 5er, who would throw in a HiJacker hitch and a Prodigy brake controller. I know Prodigy is good, but I had never heard of HiJacker. My first choice is still PullRite hitch and BrakeSmart controller, which they will not install.

Grizzly,

Third season with ours, no problems. I like the duumy proof actuation for the slider (even though you don't need a slider).

I checked out the factory when I lived in Victoria and was quite impressed.

Mine's going on 6 years old & a little weathered from the Pacific NW weather but still working just fine! Maybe this summer I'll get some paint on it & see if I can make it look like Gonzo's.

I forgot, my brother in law also has one he pulls his 295 Cougar with too!

I have had my Hijacker for 10 years and two trucks. I love it. Klay and I could have a little painting party. Like Klay I drilled two of the bed pins and padlock them. I also padlock the release handle when traveling when I make stops at restaurants or stores.

It also separates into two pieces to make is easier to take in and out of the truck. Be sure to grease the side tilt pin, same one that you remove to get two pieces.

You have to adjust the bolt in the front to get the correct amount of for and aft slop. You need just a little for ease of pulling the release lever.

Would not trade it for any other hitch.

Thanks for the feedback on the HiJacker hitch. Is that a V notch tool box at the back of the truck or is it a fuel tank? Does it cause any turbulence when hauling the 5er?

Both of my boxes are from Creative Industries, but I think they stopped make the Truck Trunk and Vbox, I like both very well, no issues. VBox holds two sets of golf clubs. SNOKING

Someone must still make the V-Box as last week was the 1st time I ever seen one & it was on a brand spankin new Ram 3500. It was certainly NEW because it was friggin blinding in the sun.

I guess it could have been old stock though... . Sharp none the less!
