A buddy of mine has a '99 and has been having trouble with his Hi/Lo beam selector. If you don't pull the turn signal hard enough when switching from high to low beams, the low lights will not come on. The fog lights will come on, but the headlights won't. If you bump the turn signal lever again, the lights will come on.

Anyone else ever run into this, and if so, how hard of a fix is it?

Thanks,

JM

It sounds like thats what it is. My wifes Explorer did the same thing and I replaced the turn signal switch which is also the hi/lo beam in the column and it fixed it. For that truck it was $65 and about 30min. time to replace. Pretty simple.

If you don't have a manual, I can copy the pertaining pages out, scan them and e-mail them to you. If you need 'em, PM your e-mail address. :D

Just noticed your sig

Mine's a '98. 5. But, maybe they won't be that different. I'll bring it to work tomorrow and scan it early.

Now, If only I could get a Sooner fan to type "me4osu"... . :D :D
