I have been thinking about someday converting my headlights to use hid bulbs. I have the sport headlights and I'm wondering about which bulb to replace with the hid setup. I think that replacing both would be the best way to go about it, but getting $$$ to do just one set is going to be enough trouble. Which would yield the best improvement, the 9004's or the 9007's? Thanks

Chris :)

Maybe Evan Beck will jump in and tell you what he did. I know there are a couple of companies that make conversion kits. They run about 1K for our trucks. Little expensive for something that does not make it go faster if you ask me:D

Actually I have found several kits for under $500. They vary from 200-500 for the complete kits: two harnesses, two bulbs, two ballasts and some other misc goodies.

Post some links... at that price I would look into it too. I know the last time it came up one of the guys on here said he was just going to do the highbeam to save on $$.

"Currently, with the installation of our kits, high beam is lost. In the future we will have a kit where you will not lose this functionality. "

From the products page, might be better to wait

What's the advantage?

I've run sealed beam aircraft landing lights for years and I'm sure they give more light. And for about $50, including rubber housings.
