HID Lights for 2005

Hi,



I was interested in having HID lights installed on my 2005 ram, but the shop has been having problems with the installation. Seems the computer does not like them and is constantly trying to correct the voltage. The shop has scanned all their distributors and HID forums but I figure someone here has a better handle on this.



I'm not looking for a DIY harness or wiring mess. Has anyone come across a clean solution?



BTW my son had the same problem with his Dodge 2008 SRT4 Caliber.

the best and easiest thing to do is use switches for your hid and not use the truck wiring. next after you find out you are blinding everyone go to hidplanet.com and order you some projector kits and use the kits you now have in the fog lights . i care more about function rather than looks but if you want a idea of how they look on a 06 give me your email

Do a search over in the third gen forum for "how to hid" - very detailed information on an install. I assume you will have to fool the computer with resistors and run the lights off of a relay. I also assume that since you are having a shop do the work you are installing a DOT legal system and will not be blinding everyone. If not, you will WANT a DOT legal system after you see the light pattern in that thread. Impressive.
