Hi guys, I have already asked you guys what torque plate to use on my '97 for some serious power gains and it looks like a bigger turbo is in order. I happen to have a H1E from an 8. 3 lying around with a 22cm2 nonwastegated housing on it. I know the 22cm2 housing will be too big for my application. My questions are: Is this turbo as big or bigger than an HX40? Will it adapt to my exhaust manifold? And is it even worth trying to use? Any help would be appreciated.

How reliable is your H2E hybrid compared to the HX40's? If I remember correctly you ran through a few of those. I don't know if I'll ever grow up enough to need one, but I like to keep my options open.

its parts are stronger yes, 1mm bigger shaft, it doesn't go off the map until 48psi, but like any turbo if its abused it to can be broke. I waistgate mine to 40psi and have had no problems as all. I can pick it up, meaning start making boost at 1400 compaired to the hx40 with a 16 lights at around 1700.

Bell Turbo Phone #

Thanks MY6EATSV8S. Do you have have Bell Turbo's phone # So I can contact them? What is different on a H2E than on a H1E? Is it as good?

Woa, you all are confusing me. Is the h1e about the same as a hx40? I posted this same type of post earler today. Is it a good improvment over the hx35?
