High exhaust temp reading, just truck only

I was driving with just the truck only and my Edge Insight alarm went of of over temp on the exhaust temp 1400 deg. 2007.5 6.7 and completely stock. It was a gradual hill, no head wind and no load.
Anyone have a reason why this would happen? I do know if it was in regen it could happen but with no load has me wandering. The water temp was normal also.

disconnect the Edge insight and see if it goes back to normal, Mine did the same with the Bulldog monitor hooked up, It was the monitor screwing up is all, Good Luck
