Where does the voltage for the lift pump come from and how is it regulated? My FP has jumped up to 22 from 12 psi. Fuel gauge tapped at schrader valve for pressure sending unit. May be Geno's sending unit. Hope the warranty is more than 30 days.
If you put a mechanical gauge to it you'll probably find out it's the sender. Even if the gauge manufacturer doesn't cover it Geno's probably will. Install a needle valve up stream from the sender to prevent future failures.
My truck is running great, but I have noticed my fuel pressure has jumped to around 30-35 psi, it is almost pegged on Briar Hoppers fuel pressure guage. I am running a pusher pump system from ADT. I checked both pre and post filter outlets today. Both were about the same. I am worried this high pressure will damage the injection pump. When I first installed the additional pump it ran around 25 psi at idle and 17-18 at WOT. Now it is above 30 at idle and around 25 at WOT. Should I be worried? I have not noticed the truck running any different. It does take about a second longer to start on some occasions.
