Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) High Fuel Pressure

With my Fass Pump and a new Westach sending unit at start I get around18 psi at idle and around 16 cruising. After driving for about 1/2 hour the pressure starts to go up to around 30 psi and basically stays there unless I really get on it. This seems really wierd to me. Any experience out there? I'm affraid the answer is my Injector pump is slowly dieing???

That kinda sounds funny... . I think you may have a wacky gauge, but what fass system is it? A 95gph? You can get different springs for adjusting fuel pressure.
