Hi all,
Yesterday my '01 did something I hadn't read about before. After running about 150 miles I put the truck in N and it was idling at ~1200rpm. Turned key off and it continued to run. After about 5 min it was still idling high but I was able to shut off.
On the return trip I could feel the truck occasionally surge with a steady throttle. At home again it was high idling but not steady. It did shut off this time.
I pulled codes using key on/off method and got a P1693. Need to find a scanner to dig further.
Do the 24V engines have a fuel shut-off valve or is this done in the IP? Could my Edge Juice/Attitude be causing this? I did recently replace the APPS with the Williams brand unit from Timbo. Doesn't seem likely that this would cause an issue with shut-down.
Any thought would be appreciated. I hope to spend more time on it this afternoon.
Thanks, Phil
