I love my High idler, it is very smooth, once you dial in the max RPM you want on the dial, then all you do is twist the knob to the desired idle. I get up to 1500 max on mine. truely plug and play setup. no cutting!

Auto or manual activation?

My question is, do they have to be manually turned on via a switch, and it stays on hihg idle until you turn it off, or do they have something of a timer to automatically ramp up and down.

It would be nice to manually activate it with a switch, and then working with a timer, it would ramp up and down according to the timer setting.

I am still in the market for one, I just havent decided which one.

The PS High Idler is an all manual kit. You ramp it up and down.

go with the PS high idler. i was even able to install it. Very very easy and works above my expectations. a real thumbs up and the price was right.

I have a PS idler and it works great. There are others out there that require you to splice into various wires throughout your vech to make them work and they were much more expensive (read 2-3Xthe cost).

I wish there was something available that looked a little cleaner and OEM like the AIC offered by ford. Same operation, different look.

Heres the pic of the install. I have it on the top of the column, There isn't enought wire harness to go much anywhere else.

Switch has a click on and off on the rotary dial then smooth up and down.
