My '09 6. 7 started idleing 100 rpm higher today. It went from 800 rpm to 900 rpm which made making stops harder due to it pulling on the torque converter harder. It has just over 5000 miles and I haven't made any changes to it. Will I have to get it reflashed? Makes you kinda miss the days when you could fix things with a screwdriver!

This may sound like a dumb question, but could it have anything to do with having the defrost on? Like some gas vehicles, they automatically up the fuel (RPM) to compensate for the added load of the compressor? I can't answer your question WStrong. Sorry.

I called the dealer on the high idle and it ended up having to do with the cruise control. Just a little adjustment and it's back down to around 750 rpm. Much easier to drive now.
