I finally got around to checking my lift pump pressure the other day. I got 24 PSI #ad
at idle. This seems to be a lot higher than I've seen on other postings. I trust the gauge. I'm wondering what could cause the high pressure and if it could cause problems? Any thoughts?

I think you should check your gauge system for accuracy. I have checked a number of trucks and 14 psi is about the highest I have seen at idle.

I haven't had any reason to doubt it's accuracy, it's always checked out OK when I've used it before. It's easy enough to check it against a known pressure source. I'll check it out after work.

Just checked mine 14. 5 at idle 10 at WOT.
Banjo bolts a are drilled out. Before they were drilled 10 at idle 5 at WOT.

Well, I double checked my gauge and guess what? The *&$# thing was screwed up #ad
. I should have figured, the last time I used it was on a Furd Tarass. That's enough to mess up any precision tool! Replaced the gauge and I'm now getting 13-14 PSI at idle, so it looks like I'm OK #ad
