Ok - I tow a small trailer - but I do drive in the mountains a lot - and I have 129. 000 on my 01 with No transmission Problems as yet. I know that their are lots of issues with having or not having problems - I would just to know who has the mpst miles - regardless of use - with their transmission?

I voted between 100 and 200,000 but...

I am at 162,000 now and the only transmission problems I had was the torque converter locking and unlocking. That was fixed with a reflash at 110,000. So far no other problems, knock on wood. With the bed I have I estimate a heavier truck than most, do not have an exact weight to compare. I have a 16 ft. bumper pull, 24 ft. stock trailer and 24 ft flatbed, both of the 24's are goosenecks. I have hauled four-wheelers, cattle, hay, metal roofing, 4-H kids luggage and wet limestone (in a borrowed 20 ft dump trailer). Most of my miles are commuting 35 miles to work and road trips to meetings and 4-H activites. I plan on upgrades but am milking the stock one for a while longer.

Nothing major, but I had a pressure transducer go out at 20K. The local dealer had it fixed in a couple of hours.

I just got tired of the "SLUSH" box shifting and went with DTT;)

Bill did show me the places that the pistons were wearing the bore in the trans case.

The factory uses a steel or cast iron "piston ring" on the accumulator piston. He uses a composite ring that is not supposed to tear up the bore. I saw it as he pulled the piston out. I felt the small ridge. My trans only had 43K

I have 195,000 on my 2001... ... . When I bought my 45' 5'er at about 160,000 I put a suncoast VB and TC in... ... . So far the transmission has been trouble free... ... . Prior to the 5'er my towing load was roughly half of what it is now... ... .
