Any have one of these installed yet?

They are made by the F. A. S. S. manufacturer (Diesel Performmance Parts).

This was recomended to me by a respected vendor on this site, after discussing my dyno results from this past weekend. He informed me that the stock fuel system is inadequate for my set up with the Juice with Attitude on its highest settings. I do not have a fuel pressure guage, but he said it would be near zero for the last half of the dyno run. Seems like a quick fix, if he's right!

This is what it looks like

You may need to scroll down a little. If you have one, does it work? Have you dyno'ed it? Thanks in advance,

Yes they work. No I haven't dynoed with it yet. You know they're made here in St. Louis. Try MCS Midwest Diesel in Eureka at 636-938-1118. Ask for Keith. He's installed a ton of them. I'm sure Keith has customers who have dynoed with them, fyi.

I went ahead on ordered the Pump only kit

Looks very complete... nice and durable from what I hear

PS - Mark @ TST runs the pump only with very good success and holds great pressure, FWIW

Thanks for reponding. Did some more reading yesterday on some of the fuel system products. Also came across Ryan Battelle's thread (started last October) about fuel system design. Clearly, much to learn on this subject.

why would you guys want to run the pump only? Isn't there concern over presurizing the stock lift pump/filter? Or are you able to remove the stock lift pump and keep the stock filter?
Either way I don't understand why one would not want to get rid of the factory filter/lift pump altogether and use the complete FASS system.

You are correct, The factory lift pump is taken off wit hthe DPP/FASS pump only - Then fuel is pumped through the factory filter on its way to the engine

I would use the compete FASS, but what about fuel gelling in the winter? And I do not want to see it when I mount it... Can it be mounted higher as to not see the bottom of the filters?

Some people think they can design their own system that is in some way "better" than the FASS. ;)

I am looking at the pump only too. The FASS unit would quickly be knocked off of my truck while hunting, etc the way it hangs down. I know filtration is critical but the factory filter is suffucient for my concerns. I just need/want the flow.

Tommygun- can you pm me the price for the pump only. Is it the MSRP or can it be had for a little less?? If not I will try to call DPP Monday. Thanks

I've got the air dog system and I think the filters may hang a little below the frame but not much, I know the side of the bed is lower than the filters so if you tear one of you've probably tore up the bed, plus I like the 3 micron filtration.

Just got my FASS pump only and today was the first chance I got to drive it. I think my fuel pressure gauge might be lying to me though, really high readings.

the FASS w/filters can be mounted in the wheelwell so that the bottom of the filter is no lower than the side of the body, at least on a 3rd generation.
