High Pressure Fuel Pump issue

Hello, I have a ram 5500 6.7 cummins thats running bad shaking while idling and having accelerating problems. In the dealer right now getting the recall done for High Pressure Fuel Pump. But the dealer is saying they can't do the recall due to the truck engine having one of the cylinder misfiring. I think the whole misfiring issue is due the Fuel Pump being bad, because of fuel starvation. anyone have recommendation of what my next step should be?

It could be clogged fuel filters, water in fuel, bad fuel, bad injector(s), or a non-working lift pump.

Also the tech should look at the volume control valve on the CP4 and confirm metal shavings along with what a code reader says.

Personally, I'd find a new dealer.

Way back when I had my '02 Cummins, I got told by a couple shops that Cummins are "too hard to work on". LOL Yea, okay...

Are you still under warranty?

Why don't they want to look at the fuel pump as the culprit?

Be very cautious! I had a 2019 3500 that began to missfire, then it got bad and I lost the whole engine. Looking for one right now and just posted a thread inquiring about an engine that might fit my truck.
