I have an idea on the intake idea and was curious about the high pressure lines. Is there a reason as to why they are as long as they are? If they were shorter does it affect anything? I am thinking about placing the intake in the center between cylinders 3 and 4 instead of where it is now. Maybe this has been tried before and not worked I am not sure. With all the gadgets and gizmos for the intake it seems this would be a logical solution that would provide better air flow into the head.

If you're not dealing with a common rail you'll find they are all the same length. It's best if you keep them that way.

Its not only best, its mandatory. Line size and length is critical in jerk pumps to maintain injection timing, duration, etc. Mess with them too much and you will have a myriad of problems.

I didn't say mandatory because it will run without them the same. Just won't run well :-laf Kinda like a set of compound twins without a wastegate on the top turbo. It will run, even make boost but it's best to have a wastegate. :-{}

I thought there was a reason for it. Guess the trick is getting the right length with the correct connections on each end and a good tubing bender.
