high rpm shifting

03 dodge diesel 230,000 miles rpms go to 2500 before shifting to into 2nd and 3rd an then normal shifting into over drive, also when slowing down at 35 mph it will suddenly jerk down to 2nd before coming to stop. Transmission has just been totally rebuilt.

Common problem is the gov pressure solenoid if a shift kit was used. The transducer could also be returning false information. Either try replacement or trouble shoot the readings from the sensor and watch the gov pressure.
