A friend of mind has an 04 truck with an auto trans, he was pulling a load 6000# on his GN trailer came to a stop sign and when he pulled off he hit the go peddle and the way was not clear. He hit the brakes pretty hard, this all happen real quick kind of on the go peddle on the the brakes on the go peddle since then when the truck is either in forward or reverse it revs up high enough that he has to push the brake peddle real hard to keep the truck from going up the road. If he puts it in N or P it will idle down. He checked for codes on the odometer. Any info would be appreciated.

You can't go from heavy throttle to brake and NOT see th engine try to pull thru the brakes. Don't blip the throttle hard in a parking lot either or it can get ugly fast.

The reason is the the ECU won't immediately chop fuel to the injectors to keep from blowing injectors and PRV's and other parts, it backs the fuel down in stages.

Now, if he is saying any time he is stopped with the trans in gear thengine is revving and wanting to pull thru the brakes the likely source of the problem is the TC. The stator sprag has failed and now he has a no stall converter. Probably accelerates like a dog now also.
