I would appreciate any advice anyone could give regarding how to complain directly to dodge regarding this issue. I am talking about the vibration that sets up at approximately 68 MPH and remains constant through 80MPH. Even though my rig is an 03, I purchased it new in March of last year, I complained to the dealer I purchased it from within a week and a half after the initial purchase. At that time I was told that they, the dealer, had contacted star and the only thing dodge would authorize towards a fix was balancing the tires; that Dodge was aware of the problem and was working on a fix. Well earlier this year I was told that Dodge had sent out a service bulletin regarding a diagnostic procedure for the problem. It included road force balancing the tires, removing axles to try and isolate the problem, rotating drivelines and yokes, and ordering and replacing drivelines as a last resort.

Well all of the above has been done on my vehicle, I have been more than patient with both Dodge and my Dealer, always giving them the benefit of the doubt. But, now I would like to have a resoulution to the problem. I do not believe that this is unreasonable after giving them this much time. After all of the aformentioned I still have the vibration visible in my interior rear view mirror, I still feel the buzz in my fuel peddle, I still feel it in the seat of my pants and I still have it vibrating the steering wheel. Yes, the power steering hose has been replaced with the weighted one. So, am I at this point justified in asking Dodge to buy this truck back and replace it with one that doesn't have this severe annoyance?

What do you say? If so who and where do I take my complaint so it will get a proper and fair hearing.

After 10 visits and numerous parts replacement, including 2 rear driveshfts and the entire rear differential... It turned out to be the yoke in the front diferential that was causing the vibration in mine.

I feel for you. Mine has the same problem but is felt much more, vibe in the sterering, seat, floor board, steerring wheel not too mention my teeth!I e/m Dodge and recieved a response back stating that they are working on a fix and to please be patient. Its frustrating! My dealer wont even touch it until Dodge comes out with a fix. Not to mention poor performance and fuel economy. Last weekend i loaded up what i could to put the truck under a load to get that final seating of the rings etc, too better my milage. 900 lbs of water in the bed plus another 1200 lbs of trailer/dirt bike /atv. I travelled from Lake Havasu city to Phoenix,Sedona and Flagstaff and back. Not impressed at all!A couple of grades, which are no biggies. 70 mph and it was floored!Im thinking what if i was towing a toybox box which i plan on getting in the future. 20 mph?being passed by rice burners and rabbits. At least you have dealer that are willing to try and satisfy thier customers by trying different things. Fuel milage! Hmm... My 99 spark plug popping SD v10 did better. good luck and hopefully the "big house" will take care of you.

There are numerous threads on this. Here is one:

https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107794 -Driveshaft Vibration

Many different causes, Front Driveline, Tansfer Case, Rear Driveline, Etc. I am picking up my truck today after having both driveshafts rebalanced. I will let you know if it fixed the problem. Out-Of-Here had to have his transfer case replaced to fix the problem. Good luck. Terry

So much for warranty

I feel your pain. My o4/550 samething. my 04. 5/600 different type vib but same hassle to fix it. But not when you have a good lawyer like I do, with all my experince I've on the vib I went from having to pay 4-5k down to 1k but the battle isn't over. So this will be No 3 truck in Less than 1yr. I can give some good if you call me. Here's more people having fun http://dieselram.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=29;t=001787
